Rajasthan

Where Royal Heritage Meets Timeless Luxury

Centuries-old palaces, magnificent forts, vibrant traditions and refined hospitality come together to create one of India’s most extraordinary journeys. From private palace stays to timeless desert landscapes, Rajasthan reveals a world where every experience is shaped by history, elegance and impeccable craftsmanship.

The Royal Legacy

A Land Where Every Palace
Tells a Different Story

Rajasthan is not simply discovered through its monuments but through the quiet moments between them—a palace corridor warmed by the morning sun, the stillness of a centuries-old courtyard, conversations shared beneath carved sandstone arches, and evenings where history lingers long after sunset.

Its forts were built to withstand time, and largely have. Yet it is the palaces reimagined as private residences—rooms once reserved for royalty, courtyards once closed to the outside world—that reveal the state’s true character. To stay within their walls is to be received not as a guest, but as something closer to family.

Beyond the cities, the desert unfolds in a different register entirefully—vast, unbroken, and silent in a way few landscapes still are. Here, hospitality is not a service but an inheritance, carried forward through generations of artisans whose hands still shape the region’s textiles, its silver, its stone. Nothing here is hurried. Everything is considered.

“A palace does not reveal itself in a single visit—it waits until you have grown quiet enough to notice.”

The Signature Journey

One Extraordinary Journey,
Many Remarkable Moments

Every Vacation2Discover journey is designed individually around the traveller. What follows is not a fixed schedule, but an illustration of the rhythm and flow of a classic Rajasthan experience—one we would shape entirely around you.

A palace hotel courtyard in Jaipur at dusk

Day One

Arrival in Jaipur

Your journey begins in the Pink City, where a private welcome awaits at one of Jaipur's storied palace hotels. There is no itinerary to rush toward on this first evening—only the quiet pleasure of arrival, a room steeped in old-world detail, and the first sense that Rajasthan moves at its own, unhurried pace.

The sandstone ramparts of Amber Fort in golden light

Day Two

Amber Fort & the City Palace

A private guide leads the way through Amber Fort's honeyed sandstone halls, before continuing to the City Palace, still home to Jaipur's royal family, and the celestial instruments of Jantar Mantar. As the sun lowers, dinner is served on a rooftop overlooking the city—the day's grandeur softening into something altogether more intimate.

Mehrangarh Fort overlooking the Blue City of Jodhpur

Day Three

Onward to Jodhpur

The road west carries you into the Blue City, where Mehrangarh Fort rises directly from the rock beneath it, watching over a sea of indigo-washed rooftops. Evening settles in a boutique heritage hotel—once a private haveli—where the architecture itself seems to hold the memory of the city's long and layered past.

A private boat crossing Lake Pichola toward the palaces of Udaipur

Day Four

The Lakes of Udaipur

Udaipur greets you with water where you might have expected only desert. A private boat drifts across Lake Pichola as the city's palaces catch the late afternoon light, before you settle into a historic residence where every window seems composed like a painting. Few arrivals in Rajasthan feel quite this cinematic.

An artisan's workshop in a village outside Udaipur

Day Five

Villages, Artisans & Gardens

Beyond the city, the day slows further still. Hidden villages reveal a Rajasthan rarely seen by passing visitors—workshops where artisans continue traditions generations old, gardens designed for quiet contemplation, and afternoons with nothing scheduled beyond simply being present. The day closes with a fine dining experience worthy of all that came before it.

Morning light over Lake Pichola from a palace breakfast terrace

Day Six

Departure, or a Journey Continued

A final breakfast overlooking the lake offers one last, unhurried moment before departure—a fitting close to a journey built on stillness rather than spectacle. For those unwilling to let Rajasthan end so soon, we are equally at ease extending your time here, or continuing the story elsewhere across India.

Every Vacation2Discover journey is created individually, never repeated. Extend your time in Rajasthan, continue on to Kashmir or Kerala, or allow us to design something built entirely around your own sense of travel.
